About Me

My name is April and I am 32 years old. Yes, as seen in the photo above, I had huge crispy bangs in 1991 just like everyone else. The fact that I was cute before that and cute after that should make up for it.

I live in Killeen (Fort Hood) Texas, but I’ve only lived here for about 6 years. I lived in Southern California my entire life before moving to Texas.

I have two children, Joey (11) and Samantha (4).

My husband Jeff and I had a rock band called Honest Mistake. He played the drums and I was the singer. Our friends Chris and Trace played the bass and the guitar. We played a few shows and recorded a demo, but the band fell apart due to people moving away, etc. I plan on recording my own music in 2010 when my business slows down after the holidays.

I am a stay-at-home mom and a home-based business owner.

I am an atheist.

I am a libertarian.

I home school my children.

I use a lot of profanity. I try not to in front of my kids though.

I am addicted to Twitter.

I play 9-ball on an APA billiards league.

My passion is to make things like jewelry, purses, quilts, buttons, you name it! I love decoupage, polymer clay, and soldered jewelry too. I am always ready to learn a new craft. I am truly addicted. I spend all of my free time either making something or I’m on this computer. I also really enjoy web design. (Important note: I think knitting sucks. Cross-stitch is cool though.)

My favorite band is Pinback. I also like Systems Officer, Phoenix, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, System Of A Down, Metallica, Fiona Apple, The Shins, Spoon, anything 80’s!!!, The Kooks, The Decemberists, Pink, and once again… plenty more that I cannot think of at the moment! Believe me, fucking iTunes has a lot of my $.

I am extremely addicted to the tv show Lost. I also love True Blood, Grey’s Anatomy, The Shield, Weeds, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, The Office, The Simpsons, I Love Lucy, Roseanne, Prison Break, and Law & Order SVU. Most of my tv watching is done online while I am working at my desk. I have no time for for regular tv watching. I’ll get a whole series on Netflix and watch them that way too. I have no patience for commercials at this point.
