So…. whenever we can get out without the kids, we tend to go to a great bar called Ernie’s. They have karaoke on Thursdays and I mentioned a while back that Jeff took second place one night. He always used to bug me about signing up and I never would because I am chicken shit. Well, NOT ANYMORE! After three Whiskey Sours and four BJ’s…. I let him sign me up. God I was nervous. Brian, the singer in Jeffs band, and also my new awesome friend, really helped raise my confidence (he also sang and kicked-ass by the way). I sang Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb. I’ve been singing that damn song since high school. My voice resembles hers, I’m told by my husband, who is one of the few people in this world that has heard me sing. Anyway, I did a pretty good job… I think?!?!?! Well, people told me that I did, but they could just be being nice (and drunk). Who knows. All I know is that singing in public was one of my biggest fears EVER and I conquered it. Speaking in public is cake for me, acting is too, but singing in public is a whole different world. It was exhilarating and now I wanna do it again. So watch out!
Then we headed over to another bar because our friends Downsiid were playing an acoustic set. Jeff got to jump in on the drums for a little bit and has been invited to play drums again next week with them. He is so excited. Now I am trying to convince myself that my son is old enough to be left home alone. He’s not, but a girl can dream can’t she?
How old do kids have to be before they can be left home alone? I was 10. But that was in 1987. 12 maybe? 13? I don’t know if I can wait that long!
just working on some stuff. New crafty things that I am trying to perfect after some trial and error(s). Plus, my wonderful mommy/daddy-in-law send us a new video camera and we’ve been playing with it a lot. Jeff takes it to band practice all the time and we have some videos of the kids from Easter. I’m just trying to figure out how to get the damn video onto my computer for editing. I’m usually good at that sort of thing, but this seems extra confusing. I can’t wait to do some crafty video tutorials with it. I should get started on that soon since I just got my hair done the other day. God forbid you see me with bad hair! All three of you.

| The Eddie Izzard tour gave me the idea to make a little Eddie notebook. I made a collage in photoshop and then laminated the cover. I glued some one inch buttons on the cover for decoration. The back is chipboard covered in scrapbooking paper. I decided to give it to my husband, who is a huge Eddie fan, so I used a more masculine paper for the back. It measures 4×6 and has 100 hand-cut blank sheets with some thicker black sheets as dividers. |

I’m sure I will be inundating you with journals in the upcoming months. I have a ton of ideas.

Today is special. Not only did I receive the BIGGEST wholesale order I’ve ever received, but I had a very special email from eddieizzard.com about Eddie’s upcoming tour. Included in the email was a special password so that I could buy tickets during the presale. I doubted Eddie would ever do a show in Texas, but I was wrong! Eddie will be in Austin and Dallas this June! Woo hoo! I ended up buying tickets for Dallas because Jeff doesn’t have to work and because I’ve never been there before. We have seats 12 & 13! Jeff almost died when I told him.

Now I just need to get a babysitter (hint hint Jenny).
