Today is my birthday. I am 31. I almost puked when I was typing that.

Anyway, one of my favorite bands is a band called The Winter Sounds. My husband arranged for them (and some guys from Tereu Tereu) to sing Happy Birthday to me!!!! Check it out!

I have watched it over and over again and its just plain weird. Don’t get me wrong…. I love it. Its just strange that they are talking to me!

The actual birthday celebration happened last Saturday night at The Ultimate Sports Bar, where my husbands band was playing for the “Gotzi Gala / Sight For Sierra Fundraiser / April’s Birthday Party” event. When I went to order a drink, Wendy the bartender told me she was under strict orders to get me extremely drunk. Since I had no choice but to listen (wink), I indeed became so drunk that by the time I got home, I ran through the front door and puked in the toilet. Hey, at least it wasn’t on the floor!

You should check out the Sight for Sierra website. Sierra is almost a year old and has brain damage. Her parents are hoping to raise enough money for stem cell treatments so that Sierra might some day be able to walk, talk, and see.

Its hard to believe that it was three months ago when I blogged about the Eddie Izzard show. Time goes by so fast.

We attended the show last night in Dallas. We rented a car for the trip and they gave us a 2007 Pontiac G6. It was sooooooooooooooo awesome. I would totally buy one. We arrived early and sprung for valet parking.

I wore my favorite polka dot dress and Jeff wore black slacks with a black dress shirt and a red tie.

We had decent seats, but there was one problem. The guy sitting next to me apparently had a body odor issue. And it was baaaaaaaaaad. It was so bad that Jeff asked if there was any way we could be moved. The usher tried really hard to find other seats, but it was a sold out show.

Its okay, once Eddie started the show, we forgot about the smell (as much as we could). The show was absolutely hilarious. Very similar to the Dress to Kill routine. Not the same jokes of course, but lots of history references, etc.

Then, after the show, we made our way to the back door of the venue to see if he would come out. He did. But he didn’t have time to sign autographs or take pictures. Jeff begged him, but he couldn’t. He did do a Q&A similar to this one.

Tomorrow is another big event for us. Jeffs band is playing at the grand opening of The Music Vault. This is a big show for them and we are all excited (and nervous!).

Today is special. Not only did I receive the BIGGEST wholesale order I’ve ever received, but I had a very special email from eddieizzard.com about Eddie’s upcoming tour. Included in the email was a special password so that I could buy tickets during the presale. I doubted Eddie would ever do a show in Texas, but I was wrong! Eddie will be in Austin and Dallas this June! Woo hoo! I ended up buying tickets for Dallas because Jeff doesn’t have to work and because I’ve never been there before. We have seats 12 & 13! Jeff almost died when I told him.

Now I just need to get a babysitter (hint hint Jenny).

Kate Winslet is my dream girl. I am in love with her. I would totally leave my husband for her and enjoy lots of lesbonian sexxx. But of course, neither of us is gay, so I am screwed (no pun intended). Kate is my favorite actress right now. I say “right now” because I love Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, and a couple of other more modern actresses. But Kate will always be in the top 5. Anyway, I love her because she is a fantastic actress. She’s the youngest person to receive five Academy Award nominations and she’s in one of my all-time favorite movies, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. I also love her because she is a real woman. She’s taken a lot of shit for being what Hollywood considers “overweight”. Those fucking pricks. She has always been outspoken about her weight. Now Kate is the new spokesperson for Lancome’s Trésor fragrance. But guess what? Kate refuses to be airbrushed for the ads!!! That’s my girl. You see?? Didn’t you just get a Kate boner too???

Okay, I know I’m going to take some shit for this one, especially from you boy-band-hater rock lovers, but…

I like Justin Timberlake.

The man is hot as hell, can actually sing, knows how to dance, and recently learned how to dress (ever since he broke up with britney). He has some good songs. I don’t normally listen to that kind of music, but every once in a while someone will come out with something that I actually like. Pink is another one. I really liked her first album (more r&b than the new albums).
