Bad Blogger

By April. Posted in Family, Personal | No Comments »

I’m such a bad blogger, I know. My updates have been getting farther apart than I’d like, but life is just getting in the way. This will bring you (all 2 of you) up to speed:

My hair is still purple, but I need to add more. Luckily, it doesn’t fade as fast as red, although I do miss the red:

Purple Hair

Halloween sucked. Barely anyone was actually giving out candy. We went to countless neighborhoods and all of the lights were off. My kids went to two houses before we gave up. They did get a lot of candy from our neighbor and from a friend of Jeffs, so its not like they didn’t get any. But they didn’t really get to show off their costumes:

Halloween 2008

Sammy’s costume was supposed to be a “good witch”. I found these cute punky broken heart iron-on patches and added them to the costume just because. I felt so bad for the trick or treating fiasco that I took them to Target to get a new toy.

We’ve had a few pretty wild parties over here lately. Okay, when I say wild… they were pretty fuckin wild. Really…. you WANT to know the juicy details, you really do. This was some reality show kind of shit happening over here. But…. I am keeping secrets!

Jeff has been tattooing again:
Tats

Our good friend Trace is getting the tat and our other good friend Chris is supervising. Those boys are so freakin’ cool. Where the hell were they when I was a single gal on the prowl lookin’ for a nice guy. What sucks is that, in this town full of military dudes, my guy friends get the shaft. They are the typical nice guys who finish last (with the ladies).

Today is election day. Yes, I plan to vote. But it depends on how early my husband gets off of work. Today is also a special day….

MY SON IS 10 YEARS OLD TODAY!

Joey's B-Day

Now I really feel old. I can’t believe my baby is 10. He is so damn smart. And he pretty much laughs all day long. He is such a good big brother too. I feel bad sometimes because I am constantly saying “Joey, do this….. Joey, get this for me…. Joey, Joey, Joey”. Without him, I would never be able to deal with Samantha and work at home.

Well, that’s all for now. I have been working a lot lately and it will only get worse as it gets closer to xmas. I really hope it gets worse. I need money!

Remo Gotzi, Smokin’

By April. Posted in Family, Music/TV/Movies | No Comments »

Well, I’ve been crafty, but just digitally lately. I’ve been so busy. With the shitty economy, I thought business would slow down, but instead its going full speed ahead. And my husbands band, Remo Gotzi (he’s the drummer), has been playing live shows recently, so I’ve been pretty busy. I created a website for him and also a YouTube channel for the band. I’m going to make their MySpace page pretty sometime this weekend. I am soooooooooo tired. I need some energy drinks asap. Check out the song Smokin’ from their performance last night:

It was Brian’s Birthday (the vocalist) too. He is such a sweetie pie! HAPPY B-DAY BRIAN!!!!!

Unfortunately, I ran out of film for the encore, which got so crazy that some guy fell into the back of my legs and there was broken glass near the stage too. I voted for a naked encore, but my dreams didn’t come true. :(

There’s also a few pics from the show here: Remo Gotzi 4/18/08 and I’ll be adding more when Ambie (bassist Pogi’s woman) sends me the pics she took.

The band was going to start recording their demo last week, but they were so tired from performing the night before, so they decided to try again next week. I can’t wait for them to finish it. They have really great songs. I’m not saying it because I am married to the drummer, but they are a really good band. People love them wherever they go.

Oh yeah… and I sang at Ernie’s last Friday night again. It was Sunday Morning by No Doubt. My voice cracked a couple times because we had been yelling over the loud speakers all night. It was fun though. I am getting more comfortable with it. :)

Sammy’s B-Day!

By April. Posted in Family | No Comments »

Yesterday was Samantha’s 2nd birthday. We went to Chuck E. Cheese’s on Friday night to celebrate. I hate going there when it is busy. I had a 7-year-old girl steal 40 tickets from me! And some other kid accidentally knocked over Samantha and not one word came out of the mom’s mouth. Rude. Anyway, we still had a good time despite all that. Here’s a few not-so-great pics:

Here’s a little video clip, not very exciting for non-family members:

I made some DVD’s for the Grandma and Grandpas and will mail those to you guys this week.

I can die now!

By April. Posted in Family, Personal | 1 Comment »

So we went to see Pinback on Sunday night in Austin and it was fantastic, as usual. A few minutes before the show ended, Jeff went to the bathroom. He came back, we listened to the rest of the last song, and then Jeff said, “C’mon… I arranged for you to meet Pinback.” He never really went to the bathroom, the little sneak! I almost died! What in the hell was I going to say to them???? We waited for a few minutes and then a man came and brought us in to meet them. Jeff had explained how I had started the “Pinback Buttons For Charity” site after hurricane Katrina and also the LiveJournal Pinback community, both of which I no longer run due to the fact that I have already spread myself too thin. Anyway, I met Zach first, which is who I really wanted to meet (no offense Rob) and he was everything I thought he would be. He was very friendly and gracious. He seemed like a very down-to-earth person. I told him how much I loved his side project Systems Officer and how I WANT MORE! He explained that he was working on new songs but unfortunately his hard drive died and now he has to do them all over again. Damn computers! Then I met Rob, and although I can imagine how daunting it must be to meet crazed fans, he seemed like he didn’t want to talk to me. That’s okay though…. I wonder how I would be in that situation. After awhile, everyone would just drive me nuts to the point where I’d rather rush to my tour bus for some peace and quiet.

I am kicking myself for not bringing my camera.

Speaking of cameras, here’s a couple of new pics from today:

Offenders

By April. Posted in Family, Personal | 2 Comments »

So I’m supposed to close on my new house sometime next week. My realtor gave me this packet with information about utilities, etc. One sheet had the web address for Family Watchdog, which I had heard about before but never checked out.

The purpose of Family Watchdog is to locate registered sex offenders in your area. Their About Us page gives the following info:

1. 1 of 5 girls and 1 of 6 boys will be molested before their 18th birthday.
2. 90% of all sexual assaults against children are committed by someone whom the victim knew.
3. The typical sexual predator will assault 117 times before being caught.
4. The re-arrest rate for convicted child molesters is 52%.

Well, Jeff and I both know all about #1 on that list, personally. It was very hard for me to go to this site. We all know sexual predators are everywhere, but to actually see them on your street and to see pictures of their ugly, fucked-up faces. Here is the little map that pops up for my new address:

There’s my little house in the middle and there’s all the motherfuckers who like to touch children. Their names and faces will be burned into my brain and if I ever catch any one of them next to my children…. well lets just say I’ll be writing my blogs from prison.

Say “mama”

By April. Posted in Family, Videos | 4 Comments »

I made a little video of my daughter Samantha. She’s 18 months old already. Crappy camera. Not very exciting for non-family people to watch (maybe).

Princess Sammy & My Self-Diagnosis

By April. Posted in Family | 1 Comment »

(I’m so dumb. I accidentally deleted the last post which had pics of sammy on the drums, etc. I’m too lazy to do it over again.)

I was finally able to get her hair into a ponytail, although it didn’t last long. What a pretty princess! I never thought I’d have a little girl. Its the best thing ever!

Sammy!

So we signed the papers today for our new house. We close on the 20th!!! We are having the house inspected tomorrow and hopefully everything is okay. I can’t believe we’ll be moving so soon. I am not prepared.

After much research, I have given myself a psychology degree and have diagnosed myself with Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. If you look at that link, the things that pertain to me are:

1. “anxious about delegating tasks for fear that they won’t be completed correctly”
2. “tend to stress perfectionism above all else, and feel anxious when they perceive that things are not ‘right’”
3. “unable to complete a project because his or her own overly strict standards are not met”
4. “Excessive devotion to work and productivity to the exclusion of leisure activities and friendships”
5. “Preoccupation with details, rules, lists, order, organization, bodily functions, or schedules to the extent that the major point of the activity is lost”

Extra extra bold there on the “lists” part. I have a list for everything. And they end up being completely useless.

If you wiki “personality disorder” you can see the other disorders. There are several other disorders that pertain to me, but really… I think they pertain to almost everyone. But this OCPD is the one that really describes me. There are a lot of things listed in the anti-social personality disorder section that describe me in a nutshell too. The fact of the matter is… I hate people. Plain and simple.

Sleeping Beauties

By April. Posted in Family | 2 Comments »

I was in the bathroom doing my hair and noticed that it was suddenly quiet in the house. I went to see what was up:

Joey and Sammy

Sleepy time is what was up. I’m so glad the camera’s flash didn’t ruin everything.
